Job Description

Work Location: Primary place of performance is Remote (work from home). Contractor may be required to work onsite as needed in Baton Rouge, LA. Like the other Remote based requirements for LA State, we anticipate the travel to be one to four trips a year; however, the candidates must still be open to as much travel as possible. There's a very low chance they will travel monthly and there's also a chance they will never travel. We are open to a candidate anywhere in the Continental US that's open to working Central Time and traveling as needed. Strong communication skills are a must-have for this position. The scope of the proposed services will include, but is not limited to the following: Support resource for data migration and conversion activities. Documenting business processes and requirements around data conversion approaches. Translate requirements into functional and technical designs, including implementing stories. and process flows. Recommend eliminating, retaining, or enhancing business processes and documenting those results. Expertise and/or relevant experience in the following areas are mandatory : Four (4) years' experience in data migration, cleansing and conversion projects. Three (3) years' experience in data analysis using SQL queries to assist with the technical design effort, data cleansing effort and resolution of bugs/defects. Experience translating business requirements into functional and technical designs. Ability to create complex SQL queries. Expertise and/or relevant experience in the following areas are desirable but not mandatory: Experience with Corrections processes. Ability to understand complex business problems. Understanding of data conversion challenges and troubleshoot issues. Understanding of the underlying technical architecture and legacy systems.
