Course Description: Digital Communications Engagement (Communications Program) Wake Forest University School of Professional Studies is seeking highly qualified candidates to teach the Digital Communications Engagement course in the online Master of Communications program. The ideal candidate is a professional who understands the theory and practice of Communications, along with recent industry trends and innovations. In today’s digital world, consumers of digital messaging are also producers of digital content. Today’s professionals must not only keep up with the near-constant changes in media platforms but must use multiple channels to generate content and listen to users. This course helps build a foundation in current digital practices and emerging media technologies, including digital brand storytelling, content marketing strategy, social media marketing, influencer marketing, and search engine optimization (SEO). Students meet face-to-face in a virtual classroom environment weekly over an academic term, providing them the opportunity to reinforce coursework materials, apply academic concepts, and participate in focused discussions with faculty and colleagues. Faculty Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in program field or related degree.

Terminal degree preferred

  • 3+ years of experience in university-level teaching.

Preferred applicants also will have a demonstrated ability to deliver graduate-level, online course experiences that are valued by industry. With the targeted audience for this program being adult students pursuing career growth, the University seeks to hire colleagues who are highly skilled in and/or highly attuned to adult learning best practices.

  • 5+ years industry experience.

Preference will be given to applicants with a demonstrated commitment to inclusive excellence and an ability to integrate ethical concepts and broad understandings of diversity . Application packet must include:

  • Sample of recent course evaluation results, preferably for graduate-level, online courses (at least 2)
