Benefits Analyst

The Benefits Analyst will provide group benefits consulting support, including design, financial management and ongoing servicing for existing clients and prospects. The Benefits Analyst will work closely with internal consulting teams, interface with vendors, support client deliverables, and ensure quality standards are met. The Benefits Analyst will: Contribute to the overall design and management of group medical, dental, life, disability and special risk benefits for clients. Annual renewal analysis and negotiations with carriers; prepare client reports and presentations Experience reporting, budget projections and reviewing plan financial performance Conduct marketing's; including preparing and submitting specifications, analysis, cost comparisons and recommendations on marketing responses, and preparing marketing report Gather data and determine cost impact for plan design changes Monitor carrier/provider services standards Support the consulting team in preparing documents for client presentations and meetings Participate in industry conferences, seminars, etc. in order to keep abreast of industry trends and activities Build relationships with carriers, and internal, cross-functional teams Conduct plan design benchmarking studies Review all benefits documentation (contracts, booklets, collective agreement, amendments) for accuracy Preparation and review of master application and all other documentation for new sales submissions – monitor implementation process to ensure deadlines met, questions answered, all forms completed in order to meet effective date. This represents base salary only and does not represent other variable compensation components of our total compensation (i.e. annual bonus, commission). The actual base salary will vary depending on local market conditions, geography and relevant job-related factors such as knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience, and education/training.
