Business Development Support - Contractor/Consultant Pool

Village Capital is a global leader in impact investing, helping early-stage startups access the type of social and financial capital they need to grow – reshaping the supply and demand sides of capital flows as a result. As our work continues to expand globally, we are looking to build a network of talented professionals (experienced consultants, specialists, and independent contractors) to join our contractor/consultant pool and support fundraising, partnership development, investor engagement, and business development operations. Scope of Work We are interested in connecting with professionals who bring expertise in one or more of the areas below and are available for project-based, part-time, retainer, or ongoing engagements. Consultants may support one or multiple functions. 1. Strategic Partnerships & Business Development: This includes providing support for identifying, cultivating, and advancing relationships with prospective funders, partners, sponsors, and ecosystem stakeholders. Example activities include: Reviewing conference/event attendance lists Reviewing internal or inbound lead submissions to assess alignment Lead generation and prospect identification through desk research and network activation Partnership outreach and relationship support Funder research and landscape mapping Strategic introduction facilitation Pipeline development and management Opportunity identification and qualification 2. Proposal Development: This includes supporting the development of compelling funding proposals and external-facing materials. Example activities include: Concept note development One-pager writing Proposal drafting and editing Budget narrative development Full proposal submission support Opportunity assessment and positioning 3. Investor Relations & Capital Raising Support: This includes supporting investor engagement and fundraising efforts across Village Capital's investment initiatives. Example activities include: Investor pipeline development LP and investor prospect research Investor outreach support Fundraising materials development 4. CRM Administrator: This includes supporting the systems and processes that enable effective fundraising and partnership management. Example activities include: CRM administration and optimization, including regular updates, data management and data hygiene Workflow automation Dashboard and reporting creation Pipeline analytics Data migration and system implementation Who Should Apply We welcome independent consultants and specialists with expertise in one or more of the areas above, including: Business Development Professionals Fundraising Consultants Partnerships Specialists Grant Writers Investor Relations Specialists Revenue Operations Professionals CRM Administrators Experience working with impact investing, entrepreneurship support organizations, foundations, venture capital, family offices, development finance institutions, or the broader social impact ecosystem is highly desirable. Engagement Structure Consultants may be engaged on a project, retainer, hourly, or fixed-fee basis, depending on organizational priorities and business needs. Joining the contractor pool does not guarantee an engagement but provides an opportunity to be considered for future consulting opportunities as they arise.
