Job Description

SEAKR Engineering has an immediate opportunity for a Level 1 Materials Planner to join our team. In this role, you will support planning, analysis, and execution activities associated with material demand throughout the program lifecycle. Planning plays a critical role in every stage of a program, from demand initiation and material procurement through shop order creation, material disposition, and program closeout. This position is highly analytical and data-driven. Successful candidates enjoy working with ERP/MRP systems, spreadsheets, reports, and large amounts of information to identify issues, solve problems, and support program execution. You will work cross-functionally with purchasing, program management, engineering, property, and fellow planners to ensure material availability aligns with program schedules and program objectives. This is a fully remote position and a critical role in supporting successful program execution. This role is well-suited for individuals early in their career who are looking to build a strong foundation in supply chain, operations, material planning, and program execution within the aerospace industry. Responsibilities - Initiate and maintain material demand throughout the program lifecycle - Analyze ERP/MRP data, reports and spreadsheets to identify material shortages, supply risks, and planning actions needed to support program schedules - Analyze and action demand to ensure supply aligns with program requirements - Collaborate with program teams and buyers to identify material needs and track deliveries - Communicate with internal stakeholders to support program execution - Generate shop orders and provide updates on material status - Perform reporting and standard planning tasks with a high degree of accuracy and consistency
