[Remote] Azure Platform Engineer
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Nebius is leading a new era in cloud infrastructure for the global AI economy, building a full-stack AI cloud platform. They are seeking an Azure Platform Engineer to design, deploy, and operate secure, scalable, and production-grade Azure environments, while ensuring platform reliability and cost efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Design and manage Azure subscriptions and landing zones
- Deploy and manage infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure and application deployments
- Implement secure networking and access control models
- Ensure platform reliability, scalability, and performance
- Monitor infrastructure health and optimize costs
- Enforce Azure Policies and governance standards
- Collaborate with engineering teams to support cloud-native workloads
- Maintain documentation and architectural standards
Skills
- 6+ years of hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure in production environments
- Strong experience with Infrastructure as Code: Terraform (preferred) / Bicep / ARM
- Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or similar)
- Solid understanding of: Azure Networking (VNet, Peering, NSG, Private Endpoints, Load Balancers, Application Gateway) Compute services (VMs, VMSS, AKS) Storage and PaaS services
- Experience with Azure RBAC, Managed Identities, and Microsoft Entra ID
- Knowledge of monitoring and logging: Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, Application Insights
- Experience implementing high availability and disaster recovery strategies
- Scripting skills (PowerShell, Bash, or Python)
- Good understanding of cloud governance, policies, and cost management
- Intermediate or higher English
- Experience with AKS in production
- Knowledge of Kubernetes and container networking
- Azure certifications (AZ-104, AZ-305, or equivalent)
