[Remote] Epic Report Writer

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Meduvi is seeking a detail-oriented Epic Report Writer to architect solutions for extracts from Epic, supporting clinical, operational, and financial decision-making across hospital organizations. This role involves consulting with hospital leadership on Epic extracts and ensuring accurate data reporting.

Responsibilities

  • Architect, design, develop, test, and deploy extracts using Epic reporting tools (Reporting Workbench, Radar Dashboards, SlicerDicer, BI tools such as Cogito/Clarity, Caboodle)
  • Write and optimize SQL queries against Clarity/Caboodle databases
  • Gather requirements from clinical and operational stakeholders and translate them into functional extract specifications
  • Validate extract accuracy through testing and data validation against source systems
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues with existing extracts
  • Document extract logic, data definitions, and build specifications
  • Maintain and update extracts in response to workflow, regulatory, or system changes
  • Provide training and support to end users
  • Collaborate with Epic application teams, analysts, IT staff and Hospital Operations on data and reporting initiatives

Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Health Informatics, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 2+ years of experience building extracts in Epic
  • Proficiency in SQL and relational database concepts
  • Working knowledge of Clarity and/or Caboodle data models
  • Demonstrated experience supporting or leading data integration efforts between Epic and external platforms (data lakes, data warehouses, third-party analytics tools) such as knowledge of custom Chronicles extracts and INI + Item Numbers
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication skills for working with non-technical stakeholders
