[Remote] Financial Application Support Engineer

This role involves troubleshooting issues, improving processes, and ensuring high-impact applications run smoothly while collaborating with engineering teams and internal users.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and support business-critical production applications and workflows
- Investigate and troubleshoot application incidents and production issues
- Analyze data anomalies and identify appropriate resolutions
- Partner closely with engineering teams to drive issue resolution and continuous improvement
- Provide support to internal users across a variety of platforms and tools
- Handle L1/L2 support responsibilities while collaborating with developers on more complex investigations
- Contribute to the development and scaling of support processes and best practices
- Work with large-scale, data-intensive systems that support time-sensitive business functions
- Gain exposure to sophisticated technology in a dynamic, high-performance environment
Skills
- Experience supporting and troubleshooting production applications
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Comfortable working in Linux environments
- Familiarity with SQL and the ability to investigate issues using data
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work cross-functionally with technical and non-technical stakeholders
- A curious mindset and a willingness to dive deep into challenging problems
- Exposure to real-time or data-driven systems is highly desirable
- Exposure to scripting or object-oriented programming concepts is a plus
- Experience using version control tools such as Git is beneficial
