The role involves building and enhancing a Progressive Web Application, developing user interfaces, integrating APIs, and collaborating with teams to deliver application features.
Responsibilities
- Build and enhance a React Native and Expo-based Progressive Web Application
- Develop responsive and interactive user interfaces from approved designs
- Integrate front-end functionality with AWS AppSync GraphQL APIs
- Implement authentication and authorization using AWS Cognito
- Develop event discovery, search, calendar, profile, and membership management features
- Implement client-side state management and local storage solutions
- Collaborate with product, design, and backend teams to deliver application features
- Perform testing, debugging, and production readiness activities
- Optimize application performance, scalability, and user experience
- Participate in code reviews and front-end architecture discussions
Skills
- 5+ years of Front-End Engineering experience
- Strong hands-on experience with React and React Native
- Experience building applications using Expo
- Experience developing Progressive Web Applications (PWAs)
- Strong proficiency in JavaScript and TypeScript
- Experience consuming and integrating GraphQL APIs
- Experience implementing authentication and authorization workflows
- Experience building data-driven applications with complex API integrations
- Strong understanding of front-end application architecture and state management
- Experience working in fast-paced product development environments
- AWS Amplify experience
- AWS Cognito and AWS AppSync expertise
- Experience building membership, ticketing, booking, scheduling, or marketplace applications
- Experience deploying and supporting mobile applications
- Startup or early-stage product development experience
- Experience optimizing application performance across web and mobile platforms
