Remote Leisure & Sports Program Coordinator

We are currently seeking a passionate and organized Remote Leisure & Sports Program Coordinator to join our growing, remote-first team. This position will play a pivotal role in the development, coordination, and execution of engaging virtual and community-based recreational activities. The ideal candidate thrives in a digital environment, possesses excellent communication skills, and has a deep understanding of various sports and leisure activities.
Key Responsibilities
Design and implement engaging virtual and in-person (where applicable) leisure and sports programs for diverse participant groups. Manage program schedules, participant registration, and event logistics from a remote setting. Develop and curate content for online platforms, including social media, newsletters, and program websites. Collaborate with instructors, coaches, and partners to ensure high-quality program delivery. Monitor program effectiveness, gather participant feedback, and make recommendations for improvement. Manage program budgets, track expenses, and process payments for instructors and vendors. Stay abreast of emerging trends in leisure, sports, and virtual programming. Develop and maintain strong relationships with community organizations and sports leagues. Troubleshoot and resolve any issues related to program participation or online platform functionality. Assist in the marketing and promotion of program offerings. Prepare regular reports on program performance and participant engagement.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Recreation Management, Sports Management, Kinesiology, or a related field. Minimum of 3 years of experience in program coordination, preferably in leisure or sports settings. Proven ability to design and manage successful recreational programs. Excellent understanding of various sports, fitness activities, and leisure pursuits. Proficiency in virtual communication tools (e.g., Zoom, Microsoft Teams) and online registration platforms. Strong project management and organizational skills. Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities. Experience with content creation for digital media is a plus. Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and meet deadlines in a remote environment. A passion for health, wellness, and community engagement.
