[Remote] Principal Software Engineer (AI Specialist Track)
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Planet Depos is seeking a Principal Software Engineer (AI Specialist Track) to own the AI architecture across their product surface. This role involves building AI systems that assist users in legal depositions by identifying inconsistencies and drafting questions, while also making independent AI architecture decisions.
Responsibilities
- Set the agentic-first development pattern for the team
- Own AI architecture decisions independently
- Own product/feature evaluation discipline
- Ship agentic product surfaces in production
- Frame what gets built around jobs-to-be-done
Skills
- Experience in shipping agentic systems that do work, not chat, in production, with evaluation discipline
- Principal-tier judgment on AI architecture — model selection, agent orchestration, RAG, structured output, retrieval
- Shipped under compliance-sensitive domain stakes — legal, healthcare, finance, regulated tech
