[Remote] Senior Backend Engineer, AI

As a Senior Backend Engineer, you will design scalable services and resilient APIs to support intelligent finance systems, ensuring reliability and security in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Architect distributed systems on GCP for high-volume, high-sensitivity data
- Build well-structured APIs and services in Python to power AI applications and frontends
- Own schema and data modeling for long-term growth and flexibility
- Create infrastructure that enables rapid iteration while ensuring reliability
- Collaborate with AI engineers to build systems where data improves models and models improve products
Skills
- 5+ years backend experience with Python at scale
- Deep knowledge of SQL/NoSQL database design
- Experience with distributed systems, event-driven architectures, or microservices
- Familiarity with GCP services (Pub/Sub, Cloud Run, Cloud SQL, BigQuery, KMS, etc.)
- Strong grasp of security and compliance best practices
- Passion for building the backend that powers intelligent products
