Remote Senior Environmental Services Technician

Our client, a highly respected leader in environmental consulting and remediation services, is seeking a dedicated and experienced Remote Senior Environmental Services Technician to join their expanding team. This fully remote position is crucial for overseeing and supporting field operations, ensuring compliance, and maintaining the highest standards of environmental stewardship from a home-based office. Responsibilities: Provide remote technical oversight and guidance to field teams conducting environmental assessments, sampling, and remediation activities. Ensure adherence to all relevant environmental regulations, safety protocols, and company policies across all project sites. Review and analyze environmental data, including soil, water, and air quality reports, identifying trends and potential risks. Develop and implement site-specific health and safety plans, ensuring compliance with OSHA and other regulatory requirements. Assist in the preparation of technical reports, proposals, and project documentation for clients and regulatory agencies. Manage project logistics, including equipment deployment, scheduling, and resource allocation for field operations. Conduct remote quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC) checks on field data and procedures. Troubleshoot operational challenges encountered by field teams, providing timely and effective solutions. Stay current with advancements in environmental science, remediation technologies, and regulatory changes. Communicate effectively with clients, regulatory bodies, and internal stakeholders regarding project status and technical matters. Train and mentor junior environmental technicians on best practices, safety procedures, and technical methodologies. Contribute to the continuous improvement of environmental service protocols and operational efficiency. Maintain accurate records of project activities, findings, and recommendations. Support emergency response efforts as needed, providing remote guidance and coordination. Evaluate and recommend new technologies or approaches to enhance environmental service delivery. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Geology, Chemistry, Engineering, or a related field. Advanced degrees are a plus. Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in environmental consulting, site assessment, remediation, or related field services. Demonstrated experience in managing or remotely supporting field operations. Strong understanding of environmental regulations (e.g., EPA, RCRA, CERCLA) and industry best practices. Proficiency in interpreting environmental data, technical reports, and regulatory documents. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate technical information effectively. Proven ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and maintain high productivity in a remote setting. Familiarity with environmental sampling techniques and remediation technologies. Experience with project management tools and environmental data management software is advantageous. Ability to effectively train and mentor junior staff.
