[Remote] Senior QA Automation Engineer

Tailored Management is seeking a Senior QA Automation Engineer to design, develop, and maintain automated testing solutions for web applications, APIs, web services, and databases. This role involves collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure high-quality software delivery while driving automation best practices and mentoring team members.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain automated test scripts using Object-Oriented Ruby, Cucumber, and Cypress frameworks
- Enhance and extend existing test automation frameworks
- Execute automated and manual test cases throughout the software development lifecycle
- Analyze test results and communicate findings to project stakeholders
- Identify, document, track, and validate defects through resolution
- Create and maintain test plans, test cases, and test data
- Provide test execution metrics, defect reporting, and project status updates
- Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and project teams to ensure product quality
- Contribute to QA process improvements, standards, and best practices
- Mentor junior QA engineers and provide technical guidance as needed
Skills
- 5+ years of experience in API testing
- Strong experience with: Ruby, Cucumber, Cypress, Test Automation Framework Development, API Testing, Jira, Confluence
- Experience testing: Web Applications, Web Services/APIs, Databases
- Strong understanding of software testing methodologies and defect management processes
- Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and automated testing integration
- Experience leading QA initiatives and mentoring team members
