Treasury Specialist-Remote

Job Title: Treasury Specialist Pay Rate: $20–$25/hour Location: Remote Duration: 13 Weeks

About the Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Treasury Specialist to support critical finance and warehouse management operations. This role is responsible for processing loan sales to investors accurately and efficiently while ensuring proper reconciliation, reporting, and transaction management. The ideal candidate will have a strong accounting or finance background, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and track daily proceeds to help minimize interest payments on warehouse lines of credit
• Obtain and review purchase advice documents from investors and internal teams
• Verify purchase advice details for accuracy and completeness
• Coordinate with warehouse banks to ensure proper application of proceeds against advances
• Input purchase advice data into financial systems to generate General Ledger journal entries
• Reconcile investor activity with daily bank transactions
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to validate purchase details and resolve discrepancies
• Prepare and process wire transfers for purchase proceeds and miscellaneous transactions
• Perform daily and monthly reconciliations to ensure accurate financial reporting
• Prepare journal entries related to purchased loans
• Maintain organized documentation and records in accordance with company policies and accounting standards
• Support workflow execution by coordinating with internal stakeholders
• Perform additional finance-related duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field preferred
• Minimum 2 years of accounting or finance experience
• Strong understanding of accounting principles, including debits, credits, and reconciliations
• Previous mortgage banking experience preferred
• Familiarity with wire transfer procedures and mortgage-related regulations is a plus
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
• Experience with Adobe Acrobat, SharePoint, and other cloud-based applications preferred
• Accurate 10-key by touch skills required
