We are looking for an exceptional 2D Animator and Content Creator to join WEBTOON’s growing creative team, collaborating to create fun, relevant, and breakthrough social and digital ad content. This unique opportunity offers the chance to work closely with the Marketing, Advertising, and Content Publishing teams. You will develop and execute animated video content that resonates and engages our Gen-Z and Millennial audience across multiple social channels. This role straddles concept development and production—requiring rapid creative ideation in a fast-paced, international environment. The ideal candidate also brings exceptional skills in visual composition, attention to detail, and a deep understanding of character animation principles and object/scene animation techniques. REQUIRED: You must include a portfolio of professional 2D animation work to be considered for this role What You’ll Do

• Partner with copywriters, visual designers and art directors to create fun, compelling, and sometimes socially native animated content promoting WEBTOON’s exciting library of webcomics.
• Be equally comfortable collaborating with others and running your own projects end-to-end.
• Elevate WEBTOON’s characters and series with breakthrough animation treatments that are relevant, on-trend, and resonate with digital natives.
• Work efficiently, maintaining high animation quality while adapting to the fast pace of social media when the project demands. Our creative team balances producing polished, high-quality animations with quick, agile content that feels authentic to social platforms.
• Understand digital and social products and placements and make channel-specific creative content that embodies best practices for each platform.
• Stay on top of industry animation/advertising trends, as well as WEBTOON fan culture.
• Work with the Project Manager so that deliverables and deadlines are met within budget.

Who You Are

• You have 4+ years of professional experience in animation production, either within a creative agency, an in-house creative team, or at a studio focusing on advertising animations. The ideal candidate should have a strong portfolio showcasing a range of projects, including animated content for social media. Experience in creating advertising for entertainment is a plus, but not a requirement. We value specialists who can bring depth to our team and are also open to learning and collaborating on a variety of projects.
• You have the illustration and drawing skills to create storyboards for animation, concept art, and illustrations that align with the project’s artistic direction.
• You are a self-starter who equally enjoys working with minimal supervision as well as collaborating closely with teammates.
• You are action-oriented and adaptable to changes in priorities or schedule.
• You have a proven record of bringing your and others’ ideas to life in animation.
• You’re a good teammate who communicates effectively, brings positive vibes and makes creative from the heart—not the ego.

Nice To Have

• You are an After Effects user with proficiency in other Adobe Suite products (Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro) or other professional VFX or animation software.
• Bonus points if you are experienced in animation software such as Clip Studio or Procreate Dreams, or have character rigging skills in After Effects, Adobe Animate, ToonBoom Harmony, or Moho Animation.
• You are passionate about comics, gaming, WEBTOON, 2D/3D animtion, entertainment media or all of the above!
